New around here

Our new website is live

No password required. We checked.

We traded our old Squarespace site for one we built ourselves at www.paxvelo.cc. The big change: you don’t need an account for anything. Post a ride, sign up to lead one, share photos, or check what’s happening this weekend, all without remembering a password.

Watch your inbox for emails about dues, updating your details, and signing your 2027 waiver.

It’s a work in progress, so if something’s broken, confusing or missing, email the club or tell Karl Krasnesky. Mike already has.

October highlights

Recovery nutrition, PaxVelo style

We closed out the 2026 shop rides the only sensible way: at Bruster’s. Nobody counted the calories, and we’d like to keep it that way.

Club Updates

Meeting Minutes

At our October meeting, we wrapped up Tuesday Night Rides for the season. Café rides will stay on the calendar, weather permitting, and Zwift nights are coming back this week. Allie Kampmeyer is our new Vice President, and Melvin Foster is now Social Chair, officially titled “Fun Boss.” Evaluated whether the club should acquire dedicated loaner bikes (Not Lab71s Alex) for prospective members or maintain a registry of member bikes available to borrow.

Lead a ride

Our next ride needs you

Anyone can sign up to lead a ride on the calendar, or post a ride of their own. No account, no forms, no committee.

If you’re a Strava club admin, rides you post there show up on the calendar by themselves.

Rider of the Month

Meet Dr. Gabe

The man behind the spice cookies

Gabe Murray is a longtime member, our Club Secretary, and the baker behind everyone’s favorite spice cookies. He rides constantly, always packs extra for whoever’s next to him, and moonlights as the club’s pizza delivery rider on meeting nights. His spirit animal is the mallard; he’s often seen with Danger Duck and associates.

Off the bike he’s an aerospace engineer, and the job comes home with him. Fun fact: there’s an entire airplane wing in his house.

Let's get social

Gathering Clout

Melvin has taken over our social media, which means he now needs content. If he asks for photos or a ride story, say yes. More posts means more people finding the club, and fewer people asking “wait, there’s a cycling club here?”
